The combination of Scorpion MX MidSoft 32 front and rear closed a season of dominance with a clean sweep of the MX1 podium. The last round of the championship took place in front of a vibrant 60,000 crowd and saw Belgian Clement Desalle register his second victory of the campaign with his LS Motors Honda beating the works Suzuki of Steve Ramon and the factory KTM of German Max Nagl, the latter re-affirming his second position in the final standings behind Antonio Cairoli. Desalle used his speed and triumph to seize third place in the series from David Philippaerts, who suffered a crash while chasing his rival in the second moto and could rise no higher than sixth. Meanwhile team-mate Joshua Coppins was fourth in Brazil with Ken De Dycker taking fifth positions.
